Norma Jean Howman, 91, of Shelby, died Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at The Willows, in Willard.
Friends may call Monday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Jason Nelson officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com. Norma was born September 23, 1930, in Apple Creek, Ohio to Elmer and Rose Ann {Hartel} Numbers.
She married Russell Howman on July 16, 1950. He died October 24, 2003.
Norma worked for C.E. White for 25 years before retiring in 1993. Norma was a member of Shelby Christian Missionary Alliance Church. Norma enjoyed sewing, baking, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was well known for her kindness to everyone.
Norma will be deeply missed by her sons Randal (Janis) Howman of Crestline and Timothy (Janice) Howman of Athens, grandchildren Alaina (Adam), Randy (Ashley), Seth, Elizabeth, Zach and Jake, great-grandchildren Adam, Caleb, Anna, and Abigail.
Norma was preceded in death by her brother Lenton Numbers, and sisters Pearl Hofstetter, Georgia Geitgey, Irene Kirkpatrick, and Leona Spence, and grandson Ben Gearhart.
