Normalee A. Wood, 74, of Chippewa Lake, died Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Normalee was born July 14, 1941 in Belleville, Michigan to Norman and Anna Louise {Guenther} Crays.
She married Bobby Wood on April 28, 1962.
Normalee worked at Travel Centers of America for over 10 years. She was a member of Parish of Our Lady Help of Christians. Normalee loved her family very much. She was their coach, cub leader, Girl Scout leader and best fan to her children and many more she opened her home and heart. Normalee's spunk and strength was evident to all who knew and loved her; they will carry that with them forever.
Normalee will be deeply missed by her husband Bobby of 54 years; children Robin (Mike) Skrant of Spencer, Stacie (Mike) Kovach of Lafayette, David (Maria) Wood of Charlotte, NC, Todd (Cynthia Rhyner) Wood and Aaron Wood both of Chippewa Lake; grandchildren Sasha (Adam) Vormelker, Bethany (Mark) Grunenwald, Jeshua (Michelle) Skrant, Tina (Jamie) Madigan, Nicole Walton, Miranda Lazar, Ruth Evan, Lisa Kovach, Mathew Swingle, Breanna Wood, Michaela Kovach, Paige Swingle, Trevor Wood and Ty Novak-Kovach; great-grandchildren Jordan Vormelker, Justin Walton, Christian Walton, Alex Vormelker, Max Walton, Devin Vormelker, Jacob Madigan, Logan Madigan, Mason Vormelker, Nicholas Grunewald, and Cylynn Clemens; brothers Gary, Dale and Bernard Guenther; sister Georgianna Warren.
Normalee was preceded in death by her parents, daughters Amanda Hope Wood and Mary Alice Wood.
Friends may call Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel, Seville. Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Father John Mullee officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation at www.nkfcares@kidney.org.
