Norman L Peterson

Norman L. Peterson, 93, of Ashland, died February 13, 2025 at Brethren Care Village, in Ashland.

Norman was born October 27, 1932 in Irwin, PA to Clarence and Sarah {Gongaware} Peterson.

Norman graduated from Elyria high school, he later graduated from Kent State University. Norman proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.

He married Stephanie Roberts on June 16, 1957 in Lake Crystal, MN. 

Norman retired from Nordson Corporation in Amherst, Ohio after many years of employment. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and was active in many volunteer capacities. Norman was involved in bowling leagues and enjoyed boating on Lake Erie, Gardening, Bible studies, Church choirs, bird watching and Cleveland and Ohio State sports. Norman loved watching his grandchildren’s sports and activities. Family events were very important to him.

Norman will be deeply missed by his wife and children, Eric Peterson and Charmaine (Rick Wolfe) Kaylor; grandchildren Tanya (Chad) VanScyoc, Candace (Matt) Schlingman, Lauren (Q Price) Kaylor; great-grandchildren Jackson and Lillian VanScyoc, Lyle, Clara, and Andrew Schlingman; sisters Lois (Alan) Porter and Sally (Chuck) Bittner

Norman was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Sarah Peterson; brothers Clarence Jr. and Walter Raymond; son-in-law Jack Kaylor.

Friends may visit Monday February 17, 2025 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church. Funeral services will follow at 11 with Pastor Kevin McClain officiating.
