Norman Earl Treece

Norman Earl Treece, 89, of Wooster, died Saturday, July 29, 2023 at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare, in Wooster.

Friends may call Wednesday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Beth Heath officiating. Norman was born May 18, 1934 in Plain Township, Ohio to Harvey and Belle {Barnes} Treece.

He graduated from Northwestern High School. Norman served in the US Army from 1957 till 1959.

He married Joyce Kistler on December 22, 1977. She died November 30, 2021.

Norman retired from Rubbermaid in 1989 after 38 years. He attended Cannan Freewill Baptist Church, and Loudonville Church of the Nazarene. Norman enjoyed traveling and photography.

Norman will be deeply missed by his children Stephen (Diane) Ghirardelli of CO, Timothy (Lois) Gardella of IN, David (Angela) and John (Amy) Clark both of Wooster; son-in-law John Johnson; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 6 great great-grandchildren; brother Miles D Treece of Columbus, OH.

Norman was preceded in death by his wife, daughter Shirley Johnson, granddaughter Wendy Wise, brothers Harvey Dean and John Paul Treece
