Opal Jane Sinclair

On the morning of Saturday, September 21, 2024, Opal Jane Sinclair finished her mission trip here with us on earth and danced her way into heaven to be with her beloved Jesus.

Opal enjoyed time with her family, sewing, crocheting, and making crafts. She enjoyed traveling with her husband of 47 years, Gary Sinclair, to Canada, Israel, and Wales. She looked forward to her summer trips to Salt Fork State Park where she would camp, enjoy the boat, and go fishing with her family.

Opal was an ordained pastor and member of Fresh Fire Ministries International and best known for creating banners, also praising and dancing for the Lord with flags and streamers. She greeted everyone with a smile, and told them what a blessing and precious child of God they were. When people told Opal to have a nice day, her response was always, “every day is a good day with Jesus.”

She completed many mission trips spreading the love of Jesus everywhere she went. She knew no strangers and was sure to leave you with a smile and a wink. Her time on this earth gave a true meaning to, “Well done, good and faithful servant. “

Opal will be deeply missed by her husband Gary Sinclair; daughter Rhonda (Merle) Ewing, sons John (Kristin) Parsons and Justin Sinclair; brother Elmer Wenzel, sister Susan Wright, six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Opal was preceded in death by her parents John Dunbar and Twila Wenzel; brother Jean Clare Dunbar, sister Eva Patterson and daughter Savannah Wagner.

The family would like to thank the staff of Harmar Place and Amedisys Hospice for their care.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 24 from 5 to 8 PM at Roberts Funeral Home, 27880 St. Rt. 7, Marietta, OH 45750.
