Patricia Ackerman

Patricia C. Ackerman, 82, of Wooster, passed away on April 11, 2024, surrounded by her loving family, at Akron General Hospital.
Pat was born December 16, 1941, in Chicago, Illinois to the late Frank Lorraine and (Vavra) Mytys.
She married Kenneth Ackerman on August 19, 1978, in Chicago and shared 46 loving years together. 
Before moving to Wooster, Pat worked at the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad, which she was extremely proud of.
After moving to Ohio, Pat worked at Wooster Hospital, as well as Health Point for many years before retiring after 10+ years.
She was very active in volunteering in the community and was a member of the Welcome Wagon, Friends of Boys Village and Meals on Wheels. 
Pat enjoyed golfing and bowling. Her passion though was playing bridge.  Pat and Ken also enjoyed traveling together over the years.
One of her favorite titles was Grandma. She showed her grandchildren how to shop and they enjoyed dining at The Green Leaf. 
In the last ten years, Pat and Ken also enjoyed being snowbirds in Florida. 
Patricia will be deeply missed by her husband, Ken; children, Cynthia (Milan) Hokr, Roger (Pam) Bates, and Mark (Victoria) Bates; grandchildren, Ryan Berlin, Elise Hokr, Amanda Hokr, Miles Hokr, Rachael Bates, David Bates and Sam Bates; great-grandchildren, Aurora, Aubrey, Roberto, Johnny, Annelise, and Ellie; and niece Lisa Timmer.
In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by his sister, Judith F. Timmer.
Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster, is assisting the family with arrangements. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Online condolences may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.
