Patricia Karcher

Patricia {Patty) M Karcher , 86, was called home to meet our Lord, Jesus Christ on April 25th, 2019. She passed away peacefully at home with her loving family at her side. Patty was born in Marietta, Ohio on October 29, 1932 to the late M. Evelyn Lewis Schneider and stepfather E Dean Schneider.

Patty was a 1950 graduate of Marietta High School where is was cheerleader. On November 3rd, 1951 she married Merle L. Karcher. She was a homemaker and worked part time at Peoples News. She enjoyed playing cards, working in the yard, and spending time with her family and friends. She danced to every song she heard and sang along whether she knew the words or not. She was an avid Ohio State fan and never met a stranger.

Patty was the loving mother to the late Gary Karcher (Linda), Terry Karcher, Paula Hastings (Tim), Lesha Newlen, JD Karcher (Jamie), Stephanie Karcher; Grandmother to Todd Hastings (Dinna), Eric Hastings, Mitchell Hastings (Lindsey), Jennifer, Brian and Chris Karcher, Chad Karcher, Josh Karcher (Jocelyn), Nikki Farley, Brent Newlen, Rikki Morris (Blair), Tyler , Riley, Jantzen Karcher, and Trae Hill. Along with 20 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and her loyal, loving dog Lucky.

She was preceded in death by her husband, mother, son, stepfather, sister Marynelle Clark and great great grandson Lyric Karcher.

A heartfelt thank you to her amazing granddaughter, Nikki, hospice nurses and aides for their loving care, support and attention throughout her illness.
