Paul L. Sibole, 76, of Wooster, died Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Wooster Community Hospital after a period of declining health.
Friends may call Monday, January 6, 2014 from 1 to 2 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Funeral services will begin at 2 at the funeral home with Pastor Daron Butler officiating. Paul was born January 15, 1937 in Martinsburg, WV to Clifford and Josephine {Lee} Sibole.
He married Ann Mauzy on May 16, 1957.
A graduate of Musselman High School in Bunker Hill, WV, receving training later in non-destructive engineering from Westinghouse Technical Institute, Paul retired from Transue and Williams in Alliance, OH in 1997. He was a member of Salem United Methodist Church in Alliance. He had a true love of life and never met a stranger. He would use his walker, "Herbie" to travel through the neighborhood to visit and check out the fish and frogs in a nearby stream. With a life long passion for music, Paul played the trumpet in high school as well as in the Martinsburg City band. He loved being around his family and his dogs. He was involved with boy scouts as a leader and went on all campouts.
Paul will be deeply missed by his wife, Ann, of 56 years; children Stephen (Melanie) Sibole of Hampton, VA, Mark (Denise) Sibole of Alliance, OH, Suzanne (Darren) Raber of Smithville, OH, and Mary Beth (Dean) Frank of Wooster; grandchildren Hannah, Tyler, Scott, and Amy Sibole, Clay and Laurel Raber, Adam, Hayden, and Grace Frank; brother David (Emily) Sibole of Hedgesville, WV.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents.
