Paul M. Stout Sr., 91, of Wooster, died Tuesday May 19, 2015 at LifeCare Hospice, in Wooster.
Friends may call Friday from 7 to 9p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 am at the funeral home with Pastor Kirk Fairhurst officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, where military rites will be held. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu to Wayne County Sheriffs Dept., 201 W North St, Wooster, OH 44691, or LifeCare Hospice, 1900 Akron Rd, Wooster OH 44691.
Paul was born April 10, 1924 in Millersburg, Ohio. His parents were Harry and Grace {Gnagy} Stout.
He served in the US Army Air Corp during WWII as radar operator.
He married Audra Pennell on June 17, 1946. She preceded him in death.
He was a Captain in the Wayne County Sheriffs Reserve for 32 years. Paul retired from Gerstenslager. He was a member of the American Legion Post #68 of Wooster and West Salem Post #499. Paul enjoyed fishing and loved his dog Jack.
Paul will be deeply missed by his children Bonnie (Bob) Huckleberry of Ashland, Gloria (Bill) Bunt of Divide CO, Candy (Dale) Foster of W.V., Paul M. (Jane) Stout II, Harley Stout, and Larry (Janine) Stout of Wooster; 16 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great grandchildren.
Paul was preceded in death by his wife, an infant son, 2 great-grandsons, 1 great-great grandson.
