Paul C. Studer, 81, of Wooster, went home to be with the Lord on June 8, 2013; surrounded by his loving family.
Friends may call Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Mt. Paul was born April 12, 1932 in Wooster, Ohio to Harvey F. and Zulma E. {Minouflet} Studer.
Paul married Janet (Gasser) on July 22, 1994.
Paul worked for Grinnell Fire Protection for 35 years and was a member of the Road Sprinklers Fitters Local No 669 for 55 years. He retired in 1991. Paul was an usher, greeter and member of Mt. Zion Church of God in Wooster since 1993. He enjoyed 3-D puzzles, reading the morning paper and traveling. Paul was an avid Ohio State and Cleveland sports fan.
Paul will be deeply missed by his wife Janet, children Michael (Lisa) Rafferty of Phoenix, AZ., Vicki Evans of West Salem, Connie (Jerry) Herman of Fredericksburg, Bobby (Carol) Baughman of Fredericksburg, Cindy (Jim) Zimmerman of Orrville, grandchildren Amanda (Todd) Terakedis, Morgan (Lee) Thomas, McKenna Rafferty, Jason Jordon, Amy Evans, Brad (Kelly) Herman, Laura Baughman, Jim (Ashley) Zimmerman Jr. and Jennifer (Justin) Sands, great-grandchildren Andrew Thomas, Jack Thomas, Blake Terakedis, Brant, Cade and Gatlin Herman, Caden Shaffer, Caleb and Caitlyn Zimmerman, numerous nieces and nephews, brothers Harvey Studer of S.C., David (Pat) Studer, Joe Studer, Danny (Earlene) Studer all of Oklahoma, Sammy (Margie) Studer of Vermillion, sisters Helen Simpson of Wooster, Marie (Ira) Campbell of Magnolia. The family would like to offer a special thanks to Paul's niece Charlotte Rimel, who was his "private duty nurse", Pastor Tom Geissinger and his Mt. Zion Church of God family.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Martin, Frank and John.
