Peter Franklin Oberholtzer, 63, of Ashland, died Sunday, June 11, 2017 at his residence.
Peter was born January 14, 1954 in Ashland, Ohio to Joe and Lois {Swinehart} Oberholtzer.
He graduated from Ashland High School in 1972. Pete served as a Paratrooper in the 101st Airborne in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
He married Dixie Kemper on April 22, 1978.
Pete retired from the Timken Company of Ashland in 2002 after 29 years. He then worked for Ashland Precision Tooling in Ashland. Pete was a member of the North End Church of Christ. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
Pete will be deeply missed by his wife; daughters Leia (Jared) Ball of Mansfield, Emily (Neal) Johnson of Akron, Rachel (Daniel) Imhoff of Polk; grandchildren Tristan and Hannah Ball, Elcey and Erynn Imhoff, Rylan, Wendy and Bryson Franklin Johnson; brothers Larry (Bonnie) Oberholtzer of Ashland and John (Norma) Oberholtzer of Corbin, KY; sisters Rebecca (Michael) Schmidt of Columbus and Jane (John) Rowe of Ashland.
Peter was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Ashland Chapel, Ashland. Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Evangelist Doug Roush officiating. Burial will be at Ashland County Memorial Park, where military rites will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio, 1050 Dauch Dr. Ashland, Ohio 44805.
