Philip Lynn Cooper of Ashland passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at his residence after an extended illness. He was born April 25, 1944 in Lodi, Ohio to Charles and Dorothy (Pinkly) Cooper. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves. On June 7, 1980 he married Rebecca (Becky) Atherton, who survives. Philip worked at The Garber Company, retiring after 35 years. He was a member of the Clear Fork Rangers and buck skinning group. He enjoyed fishing and gardening.
Philip will be deeply missed by his wife Becky, and children; Mark (Amy) Cooper, and Jamison Cooper of Ashland; grandchildren Austin and Sean Cooper; his mother, Dorothy Cooper; two brothers, Bruce (Shari) Cooper of Boston, MA. and Ron (Jean) Cooper of Chicago, IL; one sister, Cheri Cooper-Wick ham of Ashland. He was preceded in death by his father Charles Cooper. Celabration of Life Service will be held Saturday, April 13, 2013 from 1p.m. to 4p.m. at the Hospice House in Ashland.
