Phillip Casto

Phillip Lynn Casto, 70, of Marietta, died December 5, 2017 at Riverside Methodist Hospital, in Columbus. Phil was born August 8, 1947 in Marietta to Delmer Clyde and Wilda {Stewart} Casto. He was a 1965 graduate of Marietta High School. Phil was a member of the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany from 1966 to 1968. Upon returning from Germany, he married Lois I. Rowley on November 16, 1968. He was a member of the American Legion Post 64, Elks Lodge 477, Shrine and Moose Lodge. Phil enjoyed boating, gardening, cooking, golfing, bowling and dancing. During retirement years, he enjoyed watching westerns, NASCAR and spending time with his family and friends. Phil will be deeply missed by his wife Lois of 49 years; daughters Michelle R. Medlin (Dan) and Teresa L. Ott (Jason); grandchildren Madison, Gavin, Ethan and Zane; sister Kay Bonnette (Steve); sister-in-law Judy Casto. Phil was preceded in death by his parents; brother Don Casto and sister Janet. Friends may call Thursday, December 14th from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 11 a.m. until the time of the military honors at 1 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-East Lawn Chapel, 27880 St. Rt. 7, Marietta.
