Ralph Amiet

Ralph D. Amiet, 78, of Wooster, died Monday, January 14, 2019 at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster.

Friends may call Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster.  Private services will be held.  Inurnment will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.

Ralph was born January 2, 1941 in Wooster to Edward R. and Leila L. {Welty} Amiet.

Ralph graduated from The Ohio State School of Law and joined Critchfield, Critchfield, and Johnston in 1972.  He served as a Wayne County Municipal Court Judge from 1976 to 1982.  Ralph then joined the law firm of Buckingham, Doolittle & Burrows until his retirement in 2014.

Ralph was a big Ohio State fan and was a member of the Fairfield Trap and Skeet Club, where he won the Ohio International Trap Championship in 2011.

He will be deeply missed by his sons David Amiet and Andrew (Jillian Maruskin) Amiet, both of Columbus; grandchildren Hugo Amiet and Anastasia Maruskin; siblings Lyle, Roy, and John Amiet all of Wooster; Kathy Amiet of Sharon, CT, Beth Amiet Smith of Fredricksburg.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents.
