Ralph E. Hatcher, 83, of Barberton, died Monday, October 24, 2016 at his residence.
Ralph was born June 4, 1933 in Kenna, WV to Joseph Calvin and Esther Ercy {Winters} Hatcher.
He served during the Korean War in the US Army.
He married Amelia Fae Carpenter on June 30, 1956.
Ralph worked for Rockwell for 34 years before retiring in 1988. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church, Green. Ralph was a member of the Barberton Mason Lodge # 568 and the Moose Lodge #759. He loved golfing, gardening and bird watching.
Ralph will be deeply missed by his children Darlene (Bruce) Greenwood of Rittman, Terry (Sarah) Hatcher of Barberton, Vivian (Dale) West of Barberton, Ronnie (Carol) Hatcher of Norton, Kenny (Michele) Hatcher of Norton; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brother Oliver Hatcher of WV; sister Freeda Halstead of TN.
Ralph was preceded in death by his wife, grandsons Michael, Scott, parents, brothers Uriah, Okey, Oval and Boyd Hatcher.
Friends may call Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel, 9560 Acme Rd. Seville, Ohio 44273. Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Glenn Rogers Jr. officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, where military rites will be held.
