Ralph Odenkirk, 89, of Apple Creek, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 28, 2020 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Ralph was born May 14, 1931 in Apple Creek to William T. and Mildred {McCauslin} Odenkirk.
Ralph served with the United States Army in Germany during peacetime from August of 1955 to February of 1957.
He married Ruth Shammo on November 30, 1957.
Ralph was a farmer of beef and hogs. He was a lifetime member of East Union Lutheran Church. Ralph enjoyed working in the flower gardens and building birdhouses to give away.
Ralph will be deeply missed by his wife; children Randal (Debbie) Odenkirk of Apple Creek, Robin (Gail) Wolboldt of Wooster, and Russell (Denise) Odenkirk of Orrville; grandchildren Dr. Melinda Wolboldt, Lauren and Leann Odenkirk and Cory and Chelsea Odenkirk; sister Irene Snyder of Wooster.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Donald Odenkirk, Dorothy Geiser, Harold Odenkirk, Naomi Rodi, Robert Odenkirk, Evelyn Buchholz, Arlene Ramsier and two infant siblings.
A private burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Services can be viewed by others Monday at 11 a.m. on Facebook Live.
