Ralph D. Shuttleworth, 73, of Marietta, passed away May 31, 2020 at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
Ralph was born September 13, 1946 in Parkersburg, West Virginia to Ralph F. and Martha {Lucas} Shuttleworth.
He graduated from Williamstown High School. He was an Army Airborne Ranger who served three stints in Vietnam.
He married Marty McCracken in January of 1983.
Ralph was employed at Henderson Wilds as a gunsmith. He loved woodworking, making crafts, metal detecting, hunting, and recently enjoyed skeet shooting at the Marietta Gun Club with the gang. Ralph was a member of the Williamstown Masonic Lodge #129, Marietta VFW Post 5108, and the Williamstown American Legion Post 159.
Ralph will be deeply missed by his wife Marty; his faithful canine Riley; sisters Helen (Rick) Hendershot and Cora Pottmeyer; Christopher Lauer; mother-in-law Mary McCracken; another brother-in-law; three sisters-in-law and many other nieces and nephews.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call Wednesday, June 3, 2020 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-East Lawn Chapel, 27880 St. Rt. 7, Marietta. Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Don Arbuckle officiating. Burial will be at East Lawn Memorial Park, where military rites will be held.
