Raymond Lloyd "Sam" Anderson, 78, of Seville, died Sunday, June 30, 2013 at Hospice of Medina County, in Medina.
Raymond was born March 24, 1935 in New London, Ohio to Harley and Ethellyn {Hamblin} Anderson.
He graduated from Medina High School in 1953; he then joined the US Army.
He married Martha Acker on May 22, 1964.
He retired from Pepsi after 33 years. He was a member of the Medina VFW 5137, the Medina Eagles Post 2224, and Creston Moose Lodge 1224. He enjoyed gardening, playing cards and spending time with his family.
Raymond will be deeply missed by his wife; children Donald (Phyllis) Anderson of Creston, Ronald (Bobbie) Anderson of Seville, Bonnie (Kenneth) Musser of Rittman; grandchildren Michael, Shawn, Cassandra, and Ryan Musser, Jacob Anderson, Roman (Jessica), and Lee (Cedrah) Burk; great-grandchildren Angel Burk; brothers Richard, Roger Anderson of Medina Alan (Barb) Anderson of North Royalton; sister Lois Anderson of Medina
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, mother and father-in-law Leonard (Francis) Acker, brother-in-law Roy Acker.
Friends may call Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel, Seville. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Minister Robert Riggenbach officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, where military rites will be held.
