Raymond "Ray" Zimmerman

Raymond “Ray” Zimmerman, 62, of Orrville, died Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at his residence.

Friends may call Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster.  Services will be held on Facebook Live Wednesday at 11am at the funeral home with Pastor Tim Broughton officiating.  On Facebook, search “Raymond Zimmerman Funeral”. Ray was born February 15, 1959 in Orrville to Arthur Joseph and Gladys Mary {Woyat} Zimmerman.

He graduated from Orrville High School and the Wayne County Joint Vocational School in 1977.

He married Debra “Deb” Matthews Burkepile on October 14, 1989.  She died April 22, 2017.

Ray worked for Jeanneret Trailer Sales and Service in Rittman for many years.  He attended New Hope Church and enjoyed camping, working puzzles, playing horseshoes and Euchre, mushroom hunting and frog gigging.  He was a Cleveland Browns and NASCAR fan and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Raymond will be deeply missed by children Mitchell (Debbie) Zimmerman and Mark Zimmerman, Brandi Burkepile (David) Jessie, Jeremy Burkepile; 14 grandchildren whom he dearly loved; brothers Ira, Dan, Roger, Jim, John, and Pat Zimmerman, and Dennis Lebon; sisters Cherie Kick, Joyce Gasbarre, and Judy Hinkle.

In addition to his wife, Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Charlie, Tom, Mark Allen, Bobby Joe and sister Lois.
