Rev. Ermon French, 81, of Wooster, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at Select Specialty Hospital, in Canton.
Ermon was born February 19, 1936 in Irvine, KY to Loyd and Esther {Mays} French.
He graduated with Honors from Clear Creek Bible College and Cumberland College in Kentucky.
He married Beulah Ellis on September 26, 1977. She died previously. He then married Rhonda Barrett on December 31, 2014.
Ermon retired in May of 2015 from the ministry after 57 years of faithful service, most recently serving for 38 years at the First Baptist Church, of Wooster. He owned and operated Wayne Siding for 27 years. He had horse farms in Ohio and Kentucky and enjoyed raising and showing them.
Ermon will be deeply missed by his children Debbie (Rudy) Moser of Orrville, Dean (Teresa) French of Wooster, Randy (Shi) French of Wooster, David (Christine) Ellis of Shreve, Roger (Diane) Ellis of Orrville and James Ellis of Wooster, Clint (Tish) Barrett and LeAnne (Michael) Orr both of Winnsboro, TX; grandchildren Meredith, Melanie, Nathan, Matt, Jeremy, Aaron, Jon, Ashley, Sara, Deanna, Adam, Joshua, Michelle, Roger, Michael, Jennifer, Zebulun, Michaela, Garry, Jesse, Dillon and Dacey; 21 great-grandchildren; brother Eugene (Janet) French of Hamilton, Ohio; sister Delores (Ron) Johnson of Winnsboro; numerous nieces and nephews.
Ermon was preceded in death by his parents and wives Betty French and Beulah French.
Friends may call Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, Wooster with Pastor Larry Groves and Pastor Don Wake officiating. Burial will be at Wooster Cemetery.
