Richard "Dick" Drouhard

Richard “Dick” Drouhard, 93, of Wooster, died Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at Wooster Community Hospital.

Friends may call Friday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster.  Services will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, where military rites will be held.   Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.  Memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warriors Project at support.woundedwarriorproject.org .

Richard was born December 11, 1929, in Sterling, OH to Sebastian and Dortha {Shane} Drouhard.

He proudly served with the United States Air Force for 4 years during the Korean War.

He married Virginia Plough on October 7, 1956.  She died March 19, 2019.

Richard retired from Westinghouse as a brake press operator after many years. He enjoyed golfing, being outside cutting grass, playing Euchre with his family, and roasting hotdogs by the fire during 90 degree weather. Richard was always willing to help those who needed a helping hand. 

Richard will be deeply missed by his; children David (Dru) Drouhard of Dublin and Cathy Gilliam of Rittman; grandchildren Dominic and Dawson Drouhard, and Candace Trachsel.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, wife of 62 years, brothers Floyd, Larry, Bob, Pete, Frank; sisters Maxine, and Bernice.
