Richard Weisend, 67, of Marietta, died March 27, 2015 peacefully in hospice care.
Rich was born April 9, 1947 in Barnesville, Ohio to Neil and Marge Weisend.
He served in the U.S. Navy. Rich was a member of VFW Post 5108, American Legion Post 54, Masons and Shriners. He was also an avid Buckeye fan. Rich enjoyed spending time with his children Cassie (Lisa Currutt) Weisend and Brian (Mandy) Weisend; grandchildren Aiden, Addie and Jax; brother Bob (Irene) Weisend; sisters Jan (Alan) Hunt, Doris (Merle) Mallett and Judy Weisend; and many nieces and nephews.
Rich was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Donnie.
A Memorial service will be held Tuesday, April 7th at 12 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home - East Lawn Chapel, 27880 St. Rt. 7, Marietta, 45750 with Father Mike Campbell officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Inurnment will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park.
