Richard "Dick" Davis

Dr. Richard “Dick” Davis, 70, died Monday March 19, 2018 at his son’s home in Wooster, Ohio, surrounded by family. Friends are welcome to an informal celebration of Dick’s life at City Square Steakhouse in downtown Wooster this Saturday, March 24 from 12-2pm. Memorial contributions may be made to LifeCare Hospice - Wooster, Ohio (lifecarehospice.org) or the Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org).

Dick Davis was born May 28, 1947 in Houston, Texas to Raymond Davis and Evelyn{Penn} Davis. Dick graduated from Austin College in Sherman, TX. Following medical school and a residency in Pittsburgh, PA, he established a private practice in Wooster where he resided for twenty years. Dick was very active in the lives of his four children, coaching numerous sports teams and encouraging them to explore all life has to offer. Never able to sit still, Dick helped pave the way for multiple medical advances in the Wooster community.

Dick will be deeply missed by his children Laura Davis of London, UK; Luke Davis (Toni Clement) of Tuscon, AZ; Scott Davis (Melissa Mariola), Julie Daugherty (Joe Daugherty), grandson Jaxson Davis all of Wooster; siblings Patsy Davis (David Grace) and Jim Davis (Ann Davis) of Houston and niece Jennifer Dove (Jay Dove) of Roanoke, VA.
