Richard M. Garver “Dick’s” journey on earth ended on Thursday morning, January 6, 2022. He was 64 years old. He was born in Lodi, to Willard and Helen {Mowrer} Garver on March 26, 1957.
Dick grew up in Lodi and attended Cloverleaf Schools. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He retired from the railroad and pipeline. Dick was always willing to help someone out by giving them a ride to an appointment, get groceries, or wherever they needed to go, and enjoyed mowing yards. Dick always had a story to tell and enjoyed a good meal with the family together. He liked to attend flea markets and garage sales. You could say he liked to collect “stuff” and would often share his treasures with the ones he loved (especially his sister Carole). He was known to attend Lodi Congregational Church.
Dick is survived by his sisters Carole (Ron) Daugherty of Strongsville, Sue (Jon) Zerrer of Wooster, Treva Duncan of Georgia, and Betty Ramsier of Wooster; brothers Gary (Judy) Garver and Dave (Arlene) Garver of Redhaw; granddaughter Mariah Hargett. He has many nieces, nephews and extended family that loved him very much.
In addition to his parents, Dick was preceded in death by his wife Cindy, daughter Amie, brother and sister-in-law Chuck (Anita) Caskey and brother-in-law Rex Ramsier.
Per his wishes there will be no services. The family is planning on having a memorial service for Dick and Chuck at a later date. Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster is assisting the family. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.
Rest in peace Brother!
