Rita Amstutz

Rita Jane Amstutz, 91, of Orrville, died Tuesday September 24, 2024, at the Apostolic Christian Home, in Rittman.

Rita was born December 5, 1932, in Wadsworth, Ohio to Robert and Carrie {Blough} Mallery.

She married Leonard Amstutz on September 14, 1957. 

Rita worked at Ohio Central Telephone in Rittman, she then was a homemaker and babysat for 193 children out of her home in 26 years. Rita and her husband were members of the Milton Presbyterian Church in Rittman. She enjoyed coin collecting, crocheting, and jigsaw puzzles. She loved writing and sending cards to her family and friends.

Rita will be deeply missed by her husband Leonard; daughters Kimberly Vanzile of Orrville, Valerie (William) Forrer of Orrville, and Shelley (Edward) Bolman of Wooster; grandchildren Pam, Ben, Aubree, and Aaron; great-grandchildren Rion, Evelyn, Jeremiah, Aspen, Briar, Canaan, and Charlie; and sister Sandra Huff of Bradenton, FL.

Rita was preceded in death by her brother Robert Mallery, and sister Janice Wilson.

Friends may call Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster.
