Rita Herald Beck, 83 of Wooster, passed away on Friday, October 12, 2012 at her residence. She was born February 17, 1929 in Mount Savage, MD to Aaron J. and Naomi {Louk} Everett. She married Fred W. Herald and he passed away on November 12, 1975. She then married James P. Beck of Smithville.
Rita was employed as a postal carrier for the city of Wadsworth and then as a dietitian for the Barnesville Hospital. She attended the First Assembly of God in Medina and loved gardening, sewing and caring for her family.
She will be deeply missed by her children Ed Herald of Moncks Corner, SC, Robert Herald of Socorro, NM, Rita Ours of Wooster, Bill Linda) Herald of Cambridge, OH, Tina Sakatis of Hamilton, OH, George (Kathy) Herald of Johnstown, OH, 22 Grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-granddaughters, brothers Joe (Carol) of West Point, MD, Raymond of Sandusky, OH, sisters Betty Murphy of Toledo, OH, and Pat Everett of Shelby, OH. Rita was preceded in death by her two husbands, daughter Catherine, brothers Boyd, Clifford, Harry, Aaron and Luther Everett and sisters Shirley Blair and Wanita Casteel.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 am at the Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
