Robert Eugene Clason Sr., of Lafayette, TN, passed away Friday, January 29, 2016 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Services will be Thursday at 3 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster with Pastor Eric Fairhurst officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service from 2 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, where military rites will be held.
Bob was born September 5, 1930 in Congress, OH to James and Ethel {Delong} Clason.
Robert served in the United States Army for two years during the Korean War.
He married Loraine {Coffey} on August 22, 1953. She passed on November 14, 2010.
Bob was a press operator at Packaging Corporation of America for 44 years, before retiring in 1992. He enjoyed watching old westerns and solving word searches, but most of all he loved playing cards.
Bob will be deeply missed by his children Robert Eugene (Norma) Clason Jr. of Wooster, Cheryl Lynn Alleman and Charles Wayne (Sheila) Clason both of Lafayette, TN; ten grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister Phyliss (Marvin) Webb of Rittman, OH.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife Loraine of 57 years, an infant daughter Janet Lee Clason, brothers Cloyd, George, Paul, Chester, Lester, and James Clason and sisters Naomi and Donna Jean.
