Robert Dial

Robert Nelson Dial, 77, of Mount Vernon, died Tuesday, January 30, 2018, at his home, in Mount Vernon.

He was born on December 12, 1940 in Mount Vernon, Ohio to Robert D. and Mary Louise (Fawcett) Dial.

Robert entered the United States Navy after completing his schooling.

He married Carol R.  Boysel in 1970.

Robert was a former employee of PPG and Continental Can. He was a jack of all trades, a craftsman and always put his family first.

Robert will be deeply missed by his wife, Carol Dial of Mount Vernon; children Regina (Harold) Keen of Mount Vernon, Laura (Scott) Swick of Mount Vernon, Teresa Hiles of Mount Vernon, Brenda Dial of Mount Vernon, and David (Jennifer) Dial;  10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; sister, Linda Williams of Gambier,   brother Steve Dexter of Mount Vernon and many nieces and nephews.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; two brothers; and a great granddaughter Sonya Zedekar.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens with Lieutenant Christine Baker officiating. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.
