Robert E. Fath Sr. (Bush Daudy) left this world to go directly into the arms of Jesus on September 18, 2015 whom he loved dearly.
Friends may call Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at West Hill Baptist Church with Pastor Dan Wingate and Pastor Eric Fairhurst. Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the church. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.
Bob was born April 28, 1946 in Big Prairie, Ohio to Rev. Hillis and Emma Jean {Taylor} Fath.
Bob was a member of West Hill Baptist Church in Wooster. He gave his life to Christ in February of 1953 with his earthly Father by his side. Bob provided transportation for the Amish his favorite job next to being a carpenter. Most people knew him by his pranks he pulled on people. He often said, "never miss a chance to get a good laugh."
He was a 1965 graduate of Triway High School and later joined the United States Marine Corps in 1966-1967. Bob was married to his best friend Marcia Rae {Evans} Fath. They met in 1964 at Triway and were separated by her father in 1967 only to later be rejoined over strawberry pie in 1999. Then they married on April 7, 2000 and shared a life full of laughter, joy and love, with his 21 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Bob will be deeply missed by his wife, Marcia; sons Robert Fath Jr., David Allen (Amy) Fath, Keith Allen Fath, Robert (Devaney) Fath III; step-son Jason (Lynn) Salmons, Rob Lambert; daughter Krista (Dusty) Austin; mother of Smithville; sister Wilma Jean De Gaspercis of East Canton; many nieces and nephews; brother-in-law Dale Myers; sister-in-laws Mary Ann (Don) New of Vermillion and Cindy (Ken) Reuter of Coshocton; friend Becky Pozworski.
