Robert "Bob" McCoy, 68, of Mansfield, died Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at Hospice of North Central Ohio surrounded by his loving family.
Bob was born September 27, 1947 in Columbus to Bob and Edythe {Aquila} McCoy.
Bob went to Franklin University where he obtained a bachelor's degree and then he went on to Dayton University for his masters in business administration. He served in the United States Navy for six years during Vietnam.
He married Linda {Carr} on September 19, 1970.
Bob owned RM Industries Inc. for over 19 years. He was raised Catholic. Bob enjoyed fishing, golfing, the outdoors, and was a self-taught artist. He loved music and a good debate.
Bob will be deeply missed by his wife Linda of 45 years; children Heidi (Shawn) Childs of Bellefontaine, OH, Heather (Mark) Meloy of Homosassa, FL, Jennifer (Jeff) Cook of Bowling Green, OH, Leah McCoy of Westerville, OH, and Sean McCoy of Mansfield; grandchildren Joshua, Nicholas, Jacob, Matthew, Emma, Sarah, Meghan, Daniel, Taylor, Miranda, Paige, Joseph, Amelia and Elise; and the expected first great-grandchild in April; sisters Melanie (Tom) Melton and Jeanine (Michael) Malloy both of Lewis Center, OH; many nieces and nephews.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be Monday at 11:30 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Friends may call one hour prior to the service from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Burial will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, where military rites will be held. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart League P.O. Box 900, Hales Corners, WI 53130 and Hospice of North Central Ohio at 1058 Dauch Dr., Ashland, OH 44805.
