Robert Moreland

Robert E. “Bob” Moreland, 85, of Wooster, died Sunday, May 22, 2022, at Ohio’s LifeCare Hospice in Wooster.

Friends may call Thursday from 12 to 1 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Services will follow at 1pm with Pastor Eric Fairhurst officiating. Bob was born April 6, 1937, in Holmesville to James and Gertrude {Geib} Moreland.

He served in the US Army during peacetime. Bob was a self-employed tree surgeon for over 25 years and was a member of the Holmesville Federated Church. He enjoyed listening to the Cleveland Indians games and working in his yard.

Bob will be deeply missed by his son Robert Scott (Karen) Moreland of Wooster; grandson Jaden of Wooster; siblings Dennis (Carole) Stewart, Tim (Brenda) Anderson, Lois Moreland, Carol Mercer, Betty DeMonaco, Rita (Gary) Jensen, Beverly Brink (Allen Ward), Bonnie (Dave) Ackerman, and Margaret Moreland.

Robert was preceded in death by his mother Gertrude, father James (Betty) Moreland, and siblings Norman Moreland, Phyllis Weaver, Barbara Moreland, and Joan Clark.
