Robert George Myers Sr.

Robert George Myers Sr., 82, of Wooster, died November 12, 2023 at Glendora Health Care Center.

Robert was born June 28, 1941 in Ashland, Ohio to William and Mildred {Barnes} Myers.

He married Josephine Lucille Myers. She died on July 8, 2004.

He worked at Apple Creek Developmental Center, He also worked for a brief period at Metallic in Wooster. Robert was also self-employed for a period of time. Robert loved spending time with his kids, he liked to read and watch westerns, attend classic car shows, tinkering on vehicles in the backyard and enjoyed cheering on the Cleveland Indians and the Browns.

Robert will be deeply missed by his children Robert George Myers Jr. of San Diego, CA, Daniel (Jo) Swartz of Norwalk, OH; grandchildren Cristal Riedel of Lorain, OH, Harley Swartz of Findlay, OH, William “Andy” Myers of Norwalk, OH, Wade Myers of Shreve, OH, Jonathan, Corey and Bryan Myers of San Diego, CA, Layla Marie Swartz of Tucson, AZ; 3 great-grandchildren; and sister Mary (Vernon “Huey”) Rees of Wooster, OH.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife Josephine, daughter Dawn, brother Wayne and sister Linda.                                                                                                                             

Funeral services will be held Wednesday December 13 at 11:00 a.m. at the Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.
