Robert S. "Bob" Roby, 83, of Wooster, died Tuesday at the Wooster Community Hospital.
Friends may call Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Services will be Friday at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Pastor Bill Lawson officiating. Bob was born January 6, 1929 in Barberton to Robert B. and Miriam {Steele} Roby.
He served in the US Marine Corps during the Korean War.
He married Janet Jacot on April 19, 1958. She survives.
Bob retired from Wayne Steel then worked for FJ Design. He was a life member of the American Legion Post 68, Wooster. He enjoyed bowling, watching Cleveland sports, and hunting.
Bob will be deeply missed by his wife Janet; sons Jim (Kayla), Steven, and Richard (Kathy) all of Wooster, Robert (Rose) of Akron, Rebecca (Mike) Klinitobe of Tucson, AZ; grandchildren Jimmy, Suzy, Sandy, Michelle (Brian), Heidi; step-grandchildren Kate (Seth), and Craig; step great-grandchildren Lucas, Delaney, and Avery; sister Mary Minowski of Westfield Center; and his dogs Keno and Winston.
