Robert Stiffler

Robert E. Stiffler, 85, of Wooster, died Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at West View Healthy Living, in Wooster.

Friends may call Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. A service will follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Joel Yates officiating.  Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Wooster where military rites will be held. Robert was born August 31, 1932 in Clearfield, PA to William C. and Emma (Wilson) Stiffler.

He served in the US Navy during the Korean War.  He married Marilyn Wolf on June 1, 1957.  She died December 17, 2008.  Robert was a State Farm Insurance agent then for McDonald’s for 25 years, prior to his retirement in 1998.  He was a member of the Church of the Cross, UMC.  He enjoyed watching his grandchildren’s sporting events.

Robert will be deeply missed by his sons Kenneth (Stephanie) and Kevin (Angie) Stiffler all of Wooster; grandchildren Kristin (Cory) Jones, Erin, and Michael Stiffler; step-grandchildren Stephanie and Nate Genet; two great-grandchildren Carly and Maddox; sister Pat Wolfgraham of FL.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn, and son Daniel Stiffler.
