Robert "Bob" G. Talbot, 81, of Lodi, finished his race on earth and was released into the loving arms of Jesus, Friday, June 10, 2016 at his home with his wife Dr. Kathleen Talbot at his side.
Graveside services will be Wednesday at 12 at Foxfield Preserve Nature Cemetery, 9877 Alabama Ave SW, Wilmont, OH 44689, 330-359-5235. Burial will be at Foxfield Preserve Nature Cemetery, where military rites will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of VNS 3358 Ridgewood Rd, Akron, OH 44333.
Bob was born February 8, 1935 in Mineola, NY to George and Ruth {Schultz} Talbot.
He graduated from High School in Mineola and attended George Washington University. Bob served in the US Marines during the Vietnam and Korean War.
He married Kathleen Thompson on July 12, 1980.
Bob worked for the CIA in communications and was a Treasurer for a catholic school in the Philippines, and subsequently entered the Trappist monastery in Gethsemane, KY. He left the monastery to find a young pretty lady in blue jeans, his beautiful wife of 36 years. He retired from Harbor Light Complex in Lorain Ohio in 2004.
Bob will be deeply missed by his wife Dr. Kathleen Talbot; sons Joel Talbot of Lodi and Jorge Talbot of Lorain; sister-in-law Candace Thompson of North Ridgeville.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, and sister Joan Passaro.
The family would like to thank his loving caregivers Diane Pal and Phyllis Leonard, and the wonderful nurses of the East Wing of Lodi Hospital.
