Robert Davis West, 89, of Brimfield and longtime resident of Wadsworth, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Aurora Manor.
Robert was born June 5, 1926 in Cleveland, OH to Robert and Lela {Davis} West.
Robert married Traci Louise Harp on September 27, 1997.
He was a professor, author, poet, movie director, DJ, radio manager, WWII veteran, Mason of Barkley, book store owner, jazz aficionado, reverend, critic, actor and mentor to many.
Robert will be deeply missed by his wife, Traci; his children Laurent, Kim and Doug West.
Robert was preceded in death by his first wife, Nancy {Dork} West.
Memorial services will be Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 11 a.m. at UU Church of Westfield Center and Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 11 a.m. in Franklin Hall on Kent State University Campus, Rm. 213. Graveside services will be Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, where military rites will be held. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Western Reserve at 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, OH 44110.
