Roberta Dillon

Roberta Lee Dillon, 74, of Wooster, died Sunday, March 8, 2020 at Ohio’s LifeCare Hospice.

Services will be held Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 3 p.m. at the Independent Missionary Baptist Church.  Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster is assisting family with arrangements. Roberta was born January 9. 1946 in Dunkirk and Robert Leo and Mary Evelyn {Simpkins} Hester.  Her stepfather was Carroll “Cookie” Fox.

She married Gene Dillon in October of 1994.

Roberta worked from home and enjoyed taking care of her family, cooking and baking. She enjoyed crocheting, needlepoint, plastic canvas, sewing, playing bingo and fishing.  Roberta most loved spending time with her family.

Roberta will be deeply missed by her husband Gene; children Robert (Kelly) Hjerpe of West Salem, Joy (Jeremy) Lyons of Fredericksburg, Laura Haven of Shreve, and Thomas (Janelle) Haven of Wooster; grandchildren Jake, Jenna, Heather, Mistie, Jessie, Jennifer, Patricia, Alicia, Kaylynn, Logan, Keytan; ten great-grandchildren and one great-grandson on the way.

Roberta was preceded in death by her parents, son Richard Hjerpe, sister Patricia Hester, three nephews and a niece.
