Robert "Bob" Damon

Robert “Bob” Alan Damon, 72, of Medina, died Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Bob was born July 16, 1945 in Medina to Forrest “Bud” and Pauline {Charlton} Damon.

He attended Cleveland State University for two years and then continued on to become a licensed surveyor.

He married Elaine K. Pitz on September 27, 1963.

Bob retired as a surveyor for Cunningham & Associates and worked in the field for over 45 years.  In his younger years he enjoyed playing and coaching baseball. Later in life he found joy in watching sports, bowling and anything outdoors.  Most of all, Bob loved spending time with his family.

Bob will be deeply missed by his wife of 54 years; children Sheri (Todd) Tucker of Medina, Shannon (Kenny) Houston of Las Vegas, Tina (Andy) Diehl of Chatham Township, Medina, Ty (Brenda) Damon of Wadsworth, Rhonda (Tim) McCall of Seville; grandchildren Ryan (Melissa), Nathan, Callie, Dan, Dana, Micah, Sarah, Caleb and Henna (Matt); great-granddaughters Lilli and Heidi; sister Jeanette (Dick) Batke of Seven Hills.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and sister June Wiess.

Friends may call Monday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Hillcrest Chapel, Seville.  Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Mike Van Arsdale officiating.  Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Mouth & Foot Painting Artists at 2070 Peachtree Court, Suite 101, Atlanta, GA  30341.
