Roger Asbury, 84, born in Charleston, West Virginia, passed away peacefully at his home in Wakeman on August 3, surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kerry Hatcher Asbury and Ora Edith Knapp, as well as his brother Frank Asbury. He is also preceded by his sisters Marita (Ricky) Reed, Opal Williams, Dolores Kelly, and Levisa (Dolly) Belcher.
Roger is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Romaletta Ann Thomas, and his cherished wiener dog, Charlee. He leaves behind his son, Daniel Roger Asbury (Amanda), and his daughter, Angela Dawn Asbury. Roger was a proud grandfather to 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy to his life.
A retired truck driver, Roger found great pleasure in playing golf and treasured every moment spent with his family. His devotion to his loved ones was unwavering, and his memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
Roger's life was a testament to the power of love and dedication. His family was his world, and his legacy will live on through the many lives he touched. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
A celebration of Roger's life will be held on September 1, starting at 3 PM at Henrietta Town Hall.
