Roger Markley

Roger L. Markley, 69, of Rittman, died Sunday, September 23, 2018 at Akron City Hospital.

Memorial services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Ridgewood Baptist Church, in Wadsworth with Pastor Dave Marrandette officiating. Burial will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, where military rites will be held. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.

Roger was born October 28, 1948 in Lodi, Ohio to Forest Floyd and Nora Adelia {Markley} Markley.

He graduated from Rittman High School in 1967. Roger served in the US Army during Vietnam in Okinawa.

He married Susan Hickling on August 15, 1971.

Roger retired from the Rittman Box Board after 39 years. He was a member of the Ridgewood Baptist Church. Roger was a member of the Wadsworth VFW, American Legion, Eagles and the Rittman Moose. He enjoyed bowling, watching sporting events and his grandkids.

Roger will be deeply missed by his wife; daughters Tonya Bishop of Wooster, Crystal Markley of Rittman; grandchildren Darren Bishop, Kayli Bishop, Aurora Clark, Skye Markley, and Olivia Markley; brother Larry (Linda) Markley of Doylestown.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents, sister Mary Ball and brother Forest Markley.
