Roger Uhl

October 14, 1946 — July 7, 2024

Leesburg

Roger, I never thought I would be writing your obituary, but here I am. I hope I do you proud.

My brother, Roger Eugene Uhl, 77, formally of Wooster, passed away unexpectedly on July 7, 2024, at his home in Leesburg, Florida. Roger was born in Millersburg, Ohio on October 14, 1946. He was the eldest son of Ruth Ann and John O. Uhl.

Roger is preceded in death by his wife, Dian Uhl, his parents and his younger brother Ron. He is survived by his sister, Barbara Uhl of Wooster, his nieces and nephews his son Chris, granddaughter Madalyn and stepchildren Carl, Benji and Deidre Boyett all of Florida.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Roger attended Wooster High School and went on to serve his country by enlisting in the air force for four years. He moved to Florida in the early 70’s.

Roger loved his family. He was a loving father, stepfather and Grandpa. He loved food, the beach (in his younger days), animals, rolling skating, car shows, music, drag racing and going to Daytona Speedway. He repaired and restored old cars most of his life. Cars were his passion. He loved being a part of the Skulls Car Club in Lake County.

Roger had a great sense of Humor. He loved to make people laugh and have fun. He had an ornery side, but he was a big teddy bear and sweet.

Roger would not want us to be sad. He would want us to remember all the good times and hold onto those memories.

You will be missed by so many people, but I know we will be together again someday.
