Rosalene Wallace, 83, of Wooster, transitioned to Glory on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at Accord Care Community, in Orrville.
Services will be held Saturday, September 25 at 12 P.M. at the Second Baptist Church with Rev. Rickey Brown Sr. officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church. Roberts Funeral Home - Sherwood Chapel, Wooster is assisting with arrangements. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com. Memorial contributions may be made to Second Baptist Church or Crossroads Hospice of Green, Ohio.
Rosalene was born March 29, 1938, in Paducah, KY to Eddie Hue and Harriet {Conner} Ray. Rosalene worked for the Gerstenslager Company for many years retiring in 2001. She was a member of New Life Assembly of Wooster and a former member of Second Baptist Church where she sang in the choir, had served as the president of Strivers, and served as a trustee of the church. She enjoyed cooking, barbecuing, hosting dinners for family and friends. Rosalene volunteered in the kitchen at the Salvation Army and fed many people out of her home as well.
Rosalene will be deeply missed by her siblings Carolyn Ray and Leo Ray both of Wooster and Maggie Schutchions of Detroit, MI., and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Rosalene was preceded in death by her former husband, James Wallace; sisters Mary Ray, Cheryl Ray, Brenda Durden; and brothers Robert Ray and Eddie Ray Jr.
The family would like to thank Accord Care Community and Crossroads Hospice for their loving care of Rosalene.
