Rosalie Pitner, 93, of Marietta, died Monday, February 19, 2018 at her home.
Rosalie was born May 26, 1924 in Point Pleasant, WV to Frederick and Evalyn Luckwell.
She married Edward Pitner on February 9, 1973.
Rosalie worked in the decorating department at Fenton Glass in Williamstown. She was an avid bird watcher and loved the outdoors. She was a lifetime member of the Audubon Society. She and her husband both enjoyed belonging to the Ohio Arts and Crafts Guild.
Rosalie will be deeply missed by her husband Edward; children Nyla (Dan) Wiggins, Richard (Linda) North, Cheryl (Sam) Keller; stepchildren Linda Sue Ormond and Lee (Susie) Pitner; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, spanning five generations.
Rosalie was preceded in death by her first husband, daughters Gayle Camp and Brenda Miller-Wolfe, sister Alice Denton, brother William Luckwell, grandsons Danny Wiggins and Richard North.
Friends may call Thursday, February 22 from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at 2 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-East Lawn Chapel, 27880 St. Rt. 7, Marietta. Burial will be at East Lawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of the Ohio Valley, 90 Mt. Tom Road, Marietta, OH 45750. The family would like to thank the staff of Amedisys Home Health and Hospice for their care.
