Rose McCracken

Rose Ellen McCracken, 79, of Marietta Ohio, passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday April 14, 2018 at Heartland Nursing Home in Marietta Ohio.

Rose Ellen was born on October 11, 1938 in Aleppo, Pennsylvania to Edmund and Lillie (Brown) Conaway.

Rose was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. She was a sweet, caring lady who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Rose is survived by her son Kerry McCracken; grandson Brandon McCracken; great granddaughter Taylor McCracken; her other grandchildren Mandy, Kristopher, Jennifer and their families. She has a total of 12 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Rose is preceded in death by her parents Edmund & Lillie Conaway; husband Gerald McCracken; daughter Kimberly McCracken; sisters Hazel Brown, Freda (Brown) Wojciech; and brother Gene Brown.

The family would like to thank the staff at Heartland of Marietta for their kindness and taking such good care of her. Also, thank you to Marietta Home Health and Hospice for being so compassionate and attentive during her final days. We are thankful she was in good hands. Now we are grateful she is with the Lord and look forward to seeing her again.

Per her wishes, there will be no public services at this time. Roberts Funeral Home - East Lawn Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
