Roy Schmidt

Roy Dean Schmidt, 59, of Marietta, died Thursday, April 19. 2018 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.

He was born December 27, 1958 in Marietta to Ralph and Susan Schmidt.

Roy married Tamara “Tammy” Pollard on September 14, 2006.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Williamstown, and will be remembered by many as a great man.

Roy will be deeply missed by his wife Tammy; stepchildren Jim Sandy and Jennifer Lyons; siblings Larry Schmidt, Tina Pinkerton, Judy Cruse and Linda Anderson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Harry Schmidt.

Friends may call Wednesday, April 25 from 2 to 5 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-East Lawn Chapel, 27880 St. Rt. 7, Marietta.  A short prayer service will be held at 5 p.m. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help the family with expenses.
