Ruby Beatrice "Tucker" Hall, 91, of Smithville, passed on April 16, 2014 at Wooster Community Hospital following a brief illness surrounded by her loving family. Graveside services will be Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 10 A.M. at Roberts Funeral Home in the Mausoleum Chapel with Pastor Eric Fairhurst officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Ruby was born January 11, 1923 in Milo, West Virginia to Orpha Tucker. Her family moved to Ohio in 1952. She worked at Orrville Products and later at the Wayne County Vocational School until she retired. She was a charter member of West Hill Baptist Church.
She is survived by her two sons; John E. Hall (Becky) of Brandon, MS and James R. Hall (Millie) of Wooster and two daughters; Karene L. Hall ( Ed Taylor) of Columbus and Joyce A. Nussbaum of Las Vegas, Nevada, eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Her husband Clarence E. Hall, her mother, Orpha Helmic, and a granddaughter, Julie Ann Hall preceded her in death.
She was a strong-willed, independent woman who taught her children and grandchildren by example. She was extremely proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and loved to spend time with them. Ruby was an avid reader and read the Bible many times. She loved to garden, make candy for her family, quilt, and sew providing her grandchildren with quilts and teddy bears.
