Russell Casto

Russell Raymond Casto, 90, of Marietta, died Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at Harmar Place in Marietta.

Russell was born August 7, 1928 in Marietta, Ohio to John “Jerry” and Renna Mae {Molze} Casto.

He attended Marietta High School and served in the U.S. Navy.

Russell married Kay Binegar on May 20, 1995.

He worked for Union Carbide/ Elkem Metals for 32 years. Russell was a member of the Sixth and Washington Church of Christ. He loved hunting, fishing and golf.

Russell will be deeply missed by his wife Kay; children James Casto, Mark (Lesa) Casto and Rebecca Casto Holmes; stepchildren Patricia (Michael) Hodges, Kerry (Marie) Fleming, Kelly (Timothy) Fleming Casto, Kenneth Fleming and Kendra (John) Fleming Blessing; grandchildren Matt (Katie) Casto, Michael Casto, Ami (Johan) Arwidmark, Jennifer (Dale) Klemenz, Jason (Heather) Casto, Jessica (Timothy) Lemasters, Derek Holmes and Garrett (Som) Holmes; brother Ronald Casto; and many step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, step great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Russell was preceded in death by his first wife Marcella and his second wife Florence; brothers Bernard, Edward, Richard, John, Cleo, Ernest, Donald, Robert and Paul Casto; sisters Mary, Gladys and Jean.

Friends may call Sunday, June 30th from 3 to 7 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-East Lawn Chapel, 27880 St. Rt. 7, Marietta.  Funeral services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Roger A.
