Ruth Gray

Ruth Ellen Gray, 72, of Mansfield, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, January 15, 2023 at Ohio’s Hospice LifeCare, in Wooster.

Ruth was born June 1, 1950 in Prestonsburg, KY to Clay and Evelyn {Fraley} Spradlin.

She graduated from Penn High School in Indiana.

She married Denver Gray on August 2, 1969. He survives.

Ruth attended Sovereign Word Baptist Church in Wooster. She enjoyed studying God’s Word and spending time with her church family. She was a great seamstress and enjoyed crafting, painting, and the arts. Ruth loved her dogs Mocha and Gemma dearly.

Ruth will be deeply missed by her husband who loved her dearly; daughters Jennifer (Jeff) Osberg of West Salem, and Sandra Gray of Mansfield; brothers Clay D. (Marlene) Spradlin and Paul (Josie) Spradlin; sisters Patricia Welch; niece Rebecca Spradlin and nephews Benjamin Welch and Stephen Spradlin.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends may call Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Ashland Chapel, Ashland. Funeral services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Jeff Osberg officiating. Burial will be at Ashland County Memorial Park. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.
