Ruth Margaret Meeker, 88, of Wooster, died Thursday, November 7, 2013 at Towne Square at West View Manor.
Services will be Saturday at 10:30am at Roberts Funeral Home – Sherwood Chapel, Wooster with Pastor Eric Fairhurst officiating. Entombment will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Wooster. Online tributes may be made at www.robertsfuneralhome.com.
Ruth was born May 28, 1925, in Flint, MI to Axel and Olive (Wrightsman) Hedberg.
She graduated from Cygnet High School in Cygnet, OH. She married John Meeker on April 1, 1945. She was a homemaker and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Toledo. Ruth was also a member of the West Toledo Garden Club. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and entertaining family and friends.
Ruth will be deeply missed by her children, John (Martha) Meeker of Maumee, Mary (Gary) Gray of Pawling, NY, Margaret (Dan) Bourne of Wooster, grandchildren; Elizabeth Ruth Gray, Carolyn Megan Gray, Carter John Bourne.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, brothers Bill and Howard Hedberg and sisters Hilda Hedberg Spugnardi and Esther Washo-Kane.
