Ruth Michalek

Ruth Eileen Michalek, 98, of Troy, passed away August 11, 2023 at Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County.

Ruth was born March 28, 1925 in Wisconsin to Henry T. and Sadie F. {Peteri} Ingerson.

She married George Michalek on June 13, 1943, in Port Huron, MI. They were married 71 years before his passing.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

She was a dedicated member of the Troy Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.  She enjoyed reading her Bible and sharing the Bible’s promises. 

She and her husband belonged to many Model T Clubs and Square Dancing Clubs.  They enjoyed touring with their Model Ts and dancing together for decades. 

She was very talented at sewing, painting, cooking, & baking.  One of her specialties was carrot cake.  She loved hosting family & friends.  She loved her many pets that she had through the years. She enjoyed gardening and growing flowers.  Pink roses were her favorite. 

Ruth will be deeply missed by her children Nancy and Thomas Lowe, Troy, OH.  David and Patsy Michalek, Bradenton, FL. Thomas Michalek, Wooster, OH; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Timothy Lowe, Jeffersonville IN. Kathleen & Glenn Siney, Troy OH.  Kimberly & John Glover & son Mason, Troy, OH. Jeannie Smith & Chad Donley & son Christian, Perrysville, OH. step grandsons: Jason Polen & son Deacon, New Philadelphia, OH and Brian Polen, Smithville, OH. Kaleb & Becca Siney, West Milton, OH and Larissa Siney, Harrogate, TN. Along with many nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, George Michalek. Parents Henry and Sadie Ingerson; two brothers, Kenneth Ingerson, & Ralph Ingerson; and one sister, Edith Stokan; and Grandson, Robert “ Robbie” Michalek.

Viewing is Friday August 18, 2023 from 10:00am-11:00am at Roberts Funeral Home-Sherwood Chapel, Wooster. Graveside Funeral services will follow at 11:00am. The burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.

A memorial service will be held on August 26 at 2:00pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at 3967 N. Washington Rd., Covington, OH 45318.
